Balaju Water Garden is a historic garden located in the north-western part of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. The garden, also known as the "Badal Mahal" or "Cloud Palace," was built in the mid-18th century by King Pratap Malla of the Malla dynasty.
The garden is spread over an area of around 2.5 hectares and features a series of ornamental ponds, fountains, and water spouts. The centerpiece of the garden is a large white pavilion, which was originally built as a pleasure palace for the royal family.
The Balaju Water Garden is a popular destination for both tourists and locals, and it is particularly crowded during the Nepalese New Year and other major festivals. The garden has undergone several renovations and restorations over the years, and it remains an important cultural and historical landmark in Kathmandu.
