Changu Narayan is one of the oldest and most important Hindu temples in Nepal, located
on a hilltop about 12 kilometers east of Kathmandu, near Bhaktapur.  Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple is believed to date back to the 4th century, making it one of the oldest religious sites in the Kathmandu Valley.
The temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is famous for its intricate wood and stone carvings, ancient inscriptions and peaceful surroundings.  It’s not only a place of worship but also a treasure of Nepali art and history.
Surrounded by a small traditional village, terraced fields and views of the valley, Changu Narayan is a serene destination for both spiritual visitors and history lovers.
