Lake Louise is a glacial lake located in Banff National Park, in the Canadian province of Alberta. The lake is named after Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria. It is a popular tourist destination and is known for its stunning turquoise-colored water, which comes from rock flour (silt) that is carried into the lake by glacial meltwater.
The lake is surrounded by towering mountain peaks, including Mount Victoria and the Victoria Glacier, which add to its scenic beauty. Visitors to Lake Louise can take a stroll along the lake's shoreline, hike the many trails in the area, or take a canoe out onto the water. In the winter, the lake is a popular spot for ice skating, and the surrounding mountains are home to several ski resorts.
The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, a luxury hotel, is located on the shores of the lake and is a popular place to stay for those visiting the area. Lake Louise is also a popular spot for photographers, who come to capture the stunning natural beauty of the area.
