Tariat Sum is a district located in the Arkhangai Province of Mongolia. "Sum" is a Mongolian word that refers to a type of administrative division that is similar to a district or county in other countries. Tariat Sum is known for its natural beauty, and is a popular tourist destination in Mongolia.
The district is home to Tariat Volcano, which is an active volcano that last erupted in 2015. The volcano is located near Tariat Village and is a popular hiking and camping spot for visitors to the area. Tariat Sum is also home to Tsenkher Hot Springs, which are known for their natural mineral-rich waters and are a popular destination for relaxation and rejuvenation. Other attractions in the area include Terkh White Lake, a stunning alpine lake surrounded by mountains, and Khorgo-Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur National Park, which is home to diverse flora and fauna, including the endangered Siberian Ibex.
