Ali Camp is a frequent high-camp stop on the trek to Concordia and K2 Base Camp, located on the lower/central Baltoro Glacier roughly a few hours’ walk below Concordia at an elevation of approximately 4,000 – 4,300 meters.  Trekkers can expect a terrain of glacier ice, moraine and icy/snowy stretches on an uneven, often crevassed surface, with facilities limited to seasonal tented camps run by local operators.  Hazards include cold nights, strong sun, potential wind, crevasses and seracs, with the best season being summer (June–early September).
